The price seems a little too good to be true, the console may look bad, maybe you’re worried about getting scammed. This was an amazing purchase. I am considering buying like 10, just to give to everyone i know. This is such a fun product. I am at work writing this so i dont have it with me and i cant take photo of it, but its smell, not much bigger than a large iphone, its pretty fat, and its very comfy in your hands.
Please. I beg you to trust this review. I wish i could just show it to the person reading this as its genuinely a perfect product for the price. Some of the other ones ive seen on the website are like 70 bucks! Use this instead!!!!! !

It’s comfortable, easy to use, entertaining, and it arrived exactly as I ordered. Its memory, color, and everything else are great. However, they need to send it with more security; the packaging is very poor and they should label it as fragile. But overall, everything is great.

This was actually a great little device. Came with a good selection of games already. I did make a backup copy of the sd card as it looks like that would be a good idea as the sd card isn’t a name brand. No big deal but worth doing anyway. I actually bought a second for my kid

I received the package fairly quick. The box got a little damaged in shipping, but the contents were protected well and received it in perfect condition. It’s a clone but it works fine. Use arkos4clone on this. Be sure not to format your sd card, pull the .dtb file off it, run it through the tool in the arkos4clone github instructions to see if this has the amplifier or not. Then setup a new sd card and pick the right option so you have sound. Screen looks a little better than my panel v1 r36s. Works great and no issues.

Ordered two 256gb devices. Both had the correct size memory card and function. Great little devices! There is a learning curve with the r36s os, suggest turning on auto save and load to make resuming easy. Device is well built with some key rattle but can’t expect it to be perfect, amazing quality for the price.

Packaged arrived sooner than expected. The item is in great condition and works as described. The n64, dreamcast, and some mame games dont run at the proper speed and are unplayable. The rest of the game consoles on there all work just fine. So far it feels sturdy and the buttons all respond as they should. Its worth what you get on there for the price.

It came really quickly about a week. Everything worked out of the box but did have to switch the sd card and add the software for it as recommended for these handhelds this one being a clone of the original r36s. For the price i’d say more than worth it!

It’s a real one. Screen has lines in it, but doesn’t affect gameplay. Plays most n64 but not at full framerate.

This is really the greatest bang for your buck. I felt nostalgic for the classic pokémon games and was considering investing in a modified gameboy. These things costs a couple of hundred bucks, while the r36s costs 1/10 and also has a clear led screen and is usb-c rechargeable. On top of that it has thousands of games integrated already. What a time to live in. Please do take breaks, cause long exposure to this thing can be pretty harsh on the eyes.

I was so pleasantly surprised with this. Tons of games, including a few leaked old prototypes like action 52, on a handheld emulator console.
The screen is really crisp and they even sent a screen protector too, which i appreciate. The sound is very good, and you can hook up wired and wireless headphones to it, though wireless needs a special dongle.
It’s easy to add new emulators and rims too as well, although there’s so many already it’s rarely needed.
The interface is nice, when you scroll through games most of them even show a little demo so you can see it.
Only issue is i stayed up until 2am playing bloody roar 2. 😅

I have had a retroid pocket 2 previously and while i enjoyed using it i think the form factor, screen, controls and feeling (for someone with fairly large hands) is far superior. The triggers on the back work well and i find myself using them with ease unlike the retroid pocket.
In terms of games it has a good if not excellent selection on the 256gb card i was provided. I think that it could be better and i will be adding my own selection at some point. Additionally i have found that quite a few don’t actually work – like many of the snes games. Also they are numbered so you can’t browse in order.
But all in all very much worth the price paid, highly recommended.

Excellent console, you can add more roms and consoles very easily, when it arrived i wanted to add more games and saturn,megadrive 32x,mastersystem,and a few games on ps1 and saturn,it’s very easy if you know how,came with 20k games now has 22k lol,excellent system. I would add if you’re new to these sorts of consoles which use the same os you need to shut down your console via the menus and not simply swith it off to alleviate the sd card becoming corrupt. Btw not all games will run flawlessly, it is an emulator after all,it’s the same for all emulators on all different consoles/pc’s etc

So i got a “soy sauce” board, which is more of an official clone than a true clone or “bad clone”. I got a full build of darkos working on mine and even a dual sim setup. I completely ditched the stock sd card and roms and got my own list of menu background music and even scraped box art and videos for my rom set. I have intentions of swapping out the stock analog sticks for tmr halleffect sticks, after that i will bring this everywhere but until then its an excellent emulator to use at home or share with my 4yo on long car rides.

Fun little device. Many ports available using portsmaster and games you may already own on steam/gog. The version of arkos that came preloaded is the one with the wifi menu bug. So it was required to flash an updated version but make sure you back up the original card or use another card entirely. Lots of information about these little consoles available online. Use those resources and this little device is a lot of fun.

It arrived in Colombia after two weeks, the service was quite good, the console has the ARKOS system installed, which is highly recommended for its fluidity (no lag). It is light and portable, and its buttons are smooth. A recommendation is to purchase the console version with the highest capacity in GB, since I bought the 64GB one and it doesn’t come with many of the classic games, or to buy a higher capacity SD memory card and make a backup copy on it to then insert into the console.

I have to say that i’m pleasantly surprised by the r36s! I bought 3 of them for me and my friends. We all love them! They arrived in a little over a week and my only real complaint would be the packaging. The 3 boxes were sent in basically a soft plastic envelope and the boxes on either end were slightly dented on the corners. The consoles were all in perfect shape though. I’d definitely buy again.

One of the AliExpress products that I liked the most. It has many games and good quality. It is possible to emulate games from various consoles, such as Game Boy Color and PlayStation 1. I haven’t tried adding my own games yet.

Got within two weeks. Good quality materials. I have another one but i dropped it and it broke, do not drop this console. A lot of the games are functioning properly. But seeing that so many of them work it compensates for the ones that dont.

Exactly as described, what you see in the image are the accessories it comes with. It’s a good size, works perfectly just like the buttons and controls. It has good resolution and is the 64GB version. The truth is, I’ve seen too many games, so I can’t imagine how many more it must have with the larger capacity one. I recommend it.

Order arrived on schedule, worked immediatley out of the box, and has been by my side since i got it running.
Warning: the sd cards usually break (the one that it ships with), make sure to buy a new microsd from a trusted, reputable seller and learn how to format it with balena. It’s a very simple process, but you may need win32diskimager, and diskgenius as well just in case of an sd being weird.
The process for formatting with balena doesn’t take incredibly long, but it will wipe the games it comes with so be ready to check out vimm’s for all the roms you can want!

If you get one of the genuine r36s or a particular clone that has arkos you are are in luck. for the price of this thing it is amazing. ark os has so many customizable features and plays mp4s and mp3s. i set mine up to be a one stop shop of retro cartoons music and games. the dpad feels great. the buttons are great. so happy. just watch for bad clones…. they can get pretty bad.

The console is a specific clone of the Y3506, the issue is that it came with an incorrectly installed operating system, the SD memory was not 64GB but indicated 16GB when connected to the PC. It was slightly problematic to find the system and screen driver to make it work, however, once the modification was made, it was perfect. For that price, it’s a great purchase, just that issue needs to be considered.
